Wellness Facilitator 

Cavita has worked extensively in the field of social work, community and health science. Her background is in social service, mental health,  workplace wellness, family services and education.

Offers individual and group program for self awareness, workplace mental health, team development, stress management, conflict resolution and building resilience.  

Cavita is culturally sensitive, trauma informed, solution-focused and recovery-oriented professional. She applies an empowerment model with a focus on individual strengths rather than deficits to enhance social functioning.

Cavita brings a pragmatic, focused and warm style. She seeks to optimize mental health, productivity and well being of individuals on a path of self development. She is a conscious leader trained in Shakti Leadership, a model that seeks to restore balance for all genders, of masculine and feminine.

Professional background includes work with senior leadership at CAMH – Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Employment Ontario programs, Child and Family Services, York Region Mobile Employment Counselling Unit, Toronto District School Board, Catholic Community Services of York Region, Jane-Finch Community and Family Centre, The Caring Village Project, Workplace Safety Insurance Appeals Tribunal, Elspeth Heyworth Centre for Women.

Cavita has university degrees in Sociology and Social Work. Qualified in MBTI® Instrument, Personality Dimension® and FIRO-B™ Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation Behaviour Assessment.  Qualified to administer all Level-B Psychometrics.  Certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - for Trauma, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Decision Making.  Certified in ‘Mental Health First Aid’ and ‘Excellence in Educating Adults’. She is an ASIST -Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer.  Former adjunct professor at Seneca College, Faculty of Community and Health Sciences, teaching a range of courses for Social Service Worker program, on Families In Change, Mental Health, Chronic Illness, Interpersonal Communication, Intentional Counselling, Individual & Family, in a Multicultural Context.
